Derek has over thirteen years of experience in the clean energy industry across the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Before joining Third Pillar, Derek developed onsite distributed generation projects at Walmart, served at the New York Power Authority as an advisor to NYC agencies as they pursued their renewable energy goals, implemented solar and storage projects at Solar One, and worked in clean energy policy with SunEdison and the Sierra Club.
Derek received his B.A. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. In his free time, he is a musician and hapless Mets fan.
